Not much was left after the Woodward’s
building was brought down on Saturday by explosives placed into its 48 steel columns.
The original 1903 Woodward’s building, at the northwest corner of Abbott and Hastings,
will be saved and integrated into the new $300 million ‘mixed-use’ structure,
which is expected to be started in early 2007.
